The C3 - Caliper Camera tool was called out to investigate an obstruction in a wellbore after an obstruction was encountered in a 4 ½” casing liner. Upon reaching the area of interest with the Camera and Caliper it became apparent that the casing had collapsed and separated from the upper joint connection within the collar. With the C3 Caliper Camera BHA’s 43mm O.D. it was easily deployed thru the collapse to ensure that there were no further issues within the casing below! - The caliper was then engaged to quantify the extent of the collapse and to verify that the casing sections above and below were still well within specifications. The video and logging data was live streamed in HD video quality to the clients offices via Starlink Satellite from a remote location, providing the intervention team a real-time diagnosis of the wellbore challenges at hand. With these logging results, the client was able to quickly decide on next step operation planning, significantly reducing down time and costs with the conclusive analysis of the wellbore issue! In this Video DHVI was called out to inspect the orientation of an unexpected thru tubing plug fish that was inadvertently left in the well. DHVI Live Streamed the video allowing the client to determined that the small thru tubing plug had dropped and wedged itself in beside the coil tubing fishtop

DHVI’s Capture Live HD system was mobilised to inspect the SSSV as part of some routine maintenance. Upon reaching the area of interest with the Camera it became apparent that the flapper valve latch had broken off the flow tube and the flapper was now laying off centre. To help with next steps forward planning, DHVI’s highly skilled camera supervisor recommended a plan of action to help with the remedial operations. A hacksaw blade was fitted to the camera nose forming a small hook on the end. By using DHVI’s proprietary variable speed bi-directional motor and some gentle finesse, our supervisor was able to centre the flapper perfectly so the operator could proceed with repair operations. During completion operations a client encountered an unexpected obstruction in the wellhead while performing wireline operations. The Capture Live HD system was mobilised to inspect the cause of the obstruction it was quickly identified that an object was laying across the hanger mandrel. DHVI’s highly skilled camera supervisor recommended a plan of action to help with the remedial operations this involved securely clamping a strip of wireline to the camera BHA with the wire strands opened outwards as a retrieval tool option. By using DHVI’s proprietary variable speed bi-directional motor and some gentle finesse, our supervisor was able to slip the wire fishing tool inside the objects opening and successfully retrieve it from the wellhead. A pump check valve had become lodged in the wellhead causing the obstruction! With the check valve removed the client was able to quickly get completion operations back on track. This latest Video of the month features an inspection carried out for a clients north sea based asset. DHVI’s innovative Apex 360 Down and side View equipped Memory camera was mobilised to inspect a sub surface safety valve and overall condition monitoring of the wellbore. In this video the camera was called out to investigate why the customer was unable to latch and retrieve a bridge plug during a routine workover operation. The camera was deployed on wireline down the 2 3/8” tubing work string and the video was live streamed to the client’s office in real-time from location. Upon reaching the are of interest with the camera it became apparent that there was metal debris preventing the retrieval tool from being able to successfully latch the plug. With this information the customer was able to correctly and efficiently plan their next steps to get the workover operation back on track! DHVI were called to assist with the positioning of drill pipe to inspect a cavern opening and identify a possible fish, Once the camera exited the tubing to carry out observations, additional strings of pipe were identified and positions noted using our high-side indicator. One such pipe sitting to the side and three stacked together. As the camera continued it easily pushed through debris in the hole without issue. A stopping point was reached at what appeared to be a salt build up blocking the entrance into the cavern. DHVI’s High Definition Memory camera was deployed on Fibre Coil as part of a survey to help with the analysis of the production inflow within the well. The camera is able to identify two perforations producing Green Condensate and the extend of the sand pack throughout the wellbore. Identification of the slug flow conditions within the wellbore could indicate jetting perforations or uneven production flow from blockages within the well. Analysing the visual data we can identify Condensate as Green and Oil as Red in a predominate water phase with sand to the bottom. With this video the operator was able to correlate the production issues with each zone in the well and start the optimization process to allow for maximum production.
