(Ref: 119) Casing Split
DHVI were called to investigate an anomaly within a new completion. The operator was unable to retain pressure in the wellbore in order to shift sleeves with a ball drop system, they had a Fracturing Crew on standby. The C3 Capture Camera and Caliper with Temperature sensors, was deployed on a tractor. The video and data were live streamed to the customer to determine what the issue was. The camera quickly identified the longitudinal split in the casing joint and the caliper was then used to determine the extent of the split and what the internal restrictions were. The LAS caliper data was converted into a printed 3D model and incorporated into the analysis to allow the customer to be able to visualise the issues on the wellsite. The customer was able to investigate the issues further and make quick decisions to reduce costs and mitigate the issues on their other wellbores. Find out more at www.dhvi.net
(Ref: 118) Hole in casing
In this video the client deployed our live Capture camera with its high resolution down and side view cameras to inspect multiple points of interest after a window was cut in the casing. The first area of interest was to inspect the visible element of the packer that was set below the window. Once the packer was identified to be in good working order, we proceeded further up hole. A hole in the casing was identified as we were pulling up to the window. Open formation was clearly visible and magnetized metal shards were seen clinging to the edges of the damaged casing. After data was captured using the down view camera and multiple rotations of the side view camera, we pulled up further to inspect the top of the cut. The concentration of particulates floating in the wellbore began to intensify, but we were able to see indications of a successful cut. (Ref: 117) Slickline camera fishing operation
DHVI recently mobilised to a customer’s platform in the North Sea assisting in a fishing operation. The Capture HD Memory Camera was deployed on slickline to locate and identify the fish. The proprietary Capture Measure post run dimensioning software was then used to accurately measure the fish to within 2mm in diameter. With this valuable data the fishing crew made their retrieval plans. Once the fishing operation had successfully removed the restriction, using the video data, a gauge was run to confirm all was as expected. (Ref: 116) Downhole video assisted fishing
DHVI recently deployed the live Capture camera with its high-resolution down and sideview cameras to inspect a fish in a vertical section of a clients pipeline. In previous operations, the client ran a BHA on coil tubing, during the run this became lodged in the pipeline. In attempts to retrieve the stuck BHA, the coil tubing was split leaving a piece of coil above the BHA, which was believed to be looking up. The camera was run through drill pipe positioned above the fish, and successfully captured down and side view video of the visible sections. During review of the video it was discovered the end of the split coil tubing was not looking up but actually bent over on itself. In a secondary run, a hook assembly was built and welded to the end of drill pipe, the objective was to fish the coil tubing, straighten it out, or break off the bent section. The camera ran inside of the fishing assembly to verify a latch and inspect the fish after pulling was attempted. The coil tubing was straightened out, showing the end of the coil looking up. (Ref: 115) GLM vs LIB
DHVI were mobilised to identify why BHA’s were tagging when trying to pass a Gas Lift Mandrel. The operator had run a lead impression block prior to our run. Indications were seen on the impression block but nothing conclusive. Our High Definition Live camera was run on Eline to identify the issue. Upon descent, we passed by the top gas lift mandrel with no damage or issues. This served as a good reference when looking at the problem area. The guide area was damaged in prior well operations and a piece of metal was lodged behind the latch. With the data gathered, the operator was able to more effectively plan their remediation. (Ref: 114) Casing collapse inspection
In this video, DHVI were called out to investigate a blockage in a Horizontal wellbore with 4 ½ inch diameter casing. The camera tool was pumped down using 2 & 3/8ths tubing on wireline, where the live HD video quickly revealed a spectacular but severe casing collapse. The casing deformation at the 9 – 3 o’clock position formed a complete bowtie shape in the center of the wellbore. Utilizing our latest software advancement, Capture Measure, we were able to accurately plot the width and height of the openings within the collapsed region. The high-quality HD video gave the customer the necessary information to plan for a successful intervention. Find out more at www.dhvi.net
(Ref:113) Collapsed and Milled out casing
In this video the client deployed our Capture Live HD camera system to inspect an unknown restriction after completing their operations. The video indicates that the client has milled through the cement inside of the casing, through the casing, through the cement on the outside of the casing, and then into open formation. Both the side and down view cameras positively identify the edges of the missing vertical section of the casing wall with cement visible on the inside and outside of where the casing was previously located. At the top right of the screen surrounding our logo; the open formation is visible. From the video, the customer was able to accurately evaluate the condition of the wellbore to properly plan their path moving forward. As an interesting side note, the clip shows shards of fine metal particulates, that are magnetized to the edge of the milled casing, waving back and forth with the pump rate. (Ref 112) Exposed formation through wellbore casing
In this video our client deployed the Capture camera with it's high resolution down and sideview cameras to inspect a potential casing failure in the horizontal section of the well. The video reveals a hole in the casing, open to the formation, on the high side as well as formational debris sitting on the low side. Our sideview and downview cameras are separated by an industry leading 5 inch offset, couple this with our proprietary LED lighting and we show a true perpendicular view of the area of interest - without unnecessary and misleading shadows distorting your view of the damaged area. With the video streamed live, the customer was able to effectively evaluate the condition of the wellbore to properly plan for the remediation of the well. Find out more at www.dhvi.net
